Nuno felted purple scarf using merino wool on a silk base.
A thicker, longer and warmer scarf than my dress scarves this scarf has been created using a nuno felting technique. Merino wool layered over both sides of a purple silk base scarf has been nuno felted allowing the fibres to migrate through the silk and felt together. The purple blend of wool has been laid in different directions on each side of the scarf giving the option of wearing with vertical or horizontal detail. Long enough to wrap round the neck this scarf measures approximately 162cm x 23cm (64" x 9") and is incredibly warm.
A lovely scarf to wear day or evening, smart or casual. An ideal gift.
