This lovely Christmas bunting is up-cycled from a discarded copy of the beautiful book, The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady by Edith Holden. It makes the perfect Christmas decoration!
In 1906, Edith Holden recorded the flora and fauna of the British countryside through the seasons. This bunting has been made from some of her gorgeous pictures from the winter. The pictures on your garland may be different from those on the photos but will be an equally lovely winter selection (and will include holly, ivy, mistletoe and a robin!
This listing is for ONE garland with 7 triangular flags, each measuring approx. 21 cm long x 17 cm across. The bunting is designed to be viewed from one side only and is not really suitable for use outdoors – well, it IS paper after all!
The bunting has been threaded together with rescued wool. If the flags were placed end to end on the wool, the bunting would be 119 cm (approx 3ft 11in) long. The wool is longer than this so that you can spread the flags out on the wool if you want to – they slide easily on the wool – and there will still be plenty of wool to hang up the bunting.
