Lincoln Longwool sheep are currently classed as a rare breed, and are designated as “at risk” on the Rare Breed Survival Trust (RBST) watchlist. They are the largest native British sheep, and are dual purpose but traditionally bred for their long curly fleece fibres. The fibre itself is between 41.0 to 33.5 microns and has a noticable lustre.

Full description
"In The Clouds"
100% acid dyed Lincoln wool hand spun yarn
Amount: not less than 180 yards over 3 skeins (270g in total). Knits to roughly aran / worsted weight. Cool wash by hand only (unless you intend to felt). As Lincoln wool is on the coarse side, it can be itchy when worn next to skin. This yarn is more suitable for items such as bags or purses, tea cosies, cushions, doll's clothes and toy making.
Don't like getting tangles in skeins? All yarn can be wound into neat balls before dispatch - just let me know when you place your order.
