Full description
Mounted on colourful painted shields for a more contemporary feel, my handmade 'woolidermy' heads are designed as wall art with a nod to taxidermy, with a sweet twist. Each head I make turns out differently due to variations in yarn, tension, freehand needle felted details.
This is a crocheted red squirrel head, mounted on one of my smaller shields (painted in a mid green colour) which measures 17cm tall by 18cm wide (at widest point) & 2cm thick. She has a depth of c 7cm (from nose to back of her head).
The squirrel head will be made to order, please allow up to 7-10 days. If required more quickly, please add a message, if I have one in stock I will send out immediately (or make one faster if possible). Please allow for slight variations in look and size, each turns put slightly differently. I am happy to email photos to you of your finished squirrel before posting to check you are happy. The mount colour can be changed too, please add message with alternative colour details.
She has been crocheted to my own design & pattern with needle felted details on her tufty ears and nose. She has a few nylon whiskers and 8mm black safety eyes.The shield has a recessed wall fitting so fits neatly and securely on a nail. My woolidermy heads are intended as decorative only, not toys (noses, whiskers & eyes are small parts).
