Full description
This deer has dressed very stylishly for the chilly autumn breeze. She's a handmade vegetarian trophy that will hopefully bring a smile to your face every day.
I made it from lovely forest green handwoven Harris tweed and stuffed it with new polyester stuffing. The material for the inside of the ears is a herringbone tweed. The black felt eyes have a heart shaped glint. The autumn hat is made from handout felt leaves that all have stitched veins and starched with glue. They have been arranged around a brown felt base. She is also wearing a faux fur stole finished with a wooden button.
She is mounted on a piece of the forest. A rough, weathered piece of wood. I think it makes a great contrast to the pretty deer. The wood measures 32cm from top to bottom.
This is textile art for the playful adults!
