As a very young child I used to watch my mother create amazing Fair Isle patterns. The many different strands of tangled coloured yarns becoming pretty patterns was a wonder to me. I love trying to create a simpler Fair Isle styled pattern as it reminds me of my childhood. My mother explained that Fair Isle work was used to created a thicker warmer fabrics so is a great medium for hats, gloves, scarves and jumpers. She also explained that it was a good way to use up the ends of balls of yarn. I love the story behind Fair Isle work and adore the end results.

Full description
A Fair Isle styled Slouch beanie hat, hand knitted with much love and attention to detail. The hat has been hand knitted with soft acrylic yarns. The base colour is a dark brown with a light brown or beige and orange. This hat will keep your head and ears warm on a chilly autumn morning.
I created the Fair Isle pattern as I knitted the hat so it is a never to be repeated design so it will be a one off special. As is the same with most of my Fair Isle inspired creations.
The hat can be machine washed up to 40 degrees but I would advise it be laid flat to dry.
Approximate size: 19inches (84.3cm) in diameter by 10inches (25.5cm) long.
