Full description
We have made this delightful butterfly mosaic from pieces of beach glass which we have tumbled until they are rounded and smooth. The glass has come from old bottles and is a variety of shades of olive, brown, aquamarine and white. We have used flat red glass beads to provide a splash of colour on the wings. The back of the mosaic is top quality laser cut plywood with an attractive brown edge.
The wall hanger is 10.3 cm high, 11.3 cm wide and 8 mm thick. It comes on a 4 cm cotton cord. If you would prefer a longer cord please let us know the length you would like.
Our mosaic wall hangers are made in Chudleigh, Devon, using materials we collect ourselves from local beaches. Each piece of glass is unique, so each wall hanger is unique. Because our raw materials have spent time on the seashore our products may have small imperfections, which we think is part of their charm. We only use materials which have rounded edges, which is why we tumble pieces which have rough edges (this continues the process begun by the waves) until they are smooth.
The wall hanger will be delivered by first class mail. We usually post items within one working day of receiving payment.
