Full description
This is a OOAK hand sculpted textile head of a West highland terrier on a piece of wood covered with a blue wool material. This unique piece of textile art is sure to get people talking!
I made him from cotton fabric, stuffing and some wire for the ears. Hand stitching each piece to give the head the right Westie shape and then I covered it with small pieces of shaggy white faux fur. The dark eyes are glass and I used textile paint to give the face some shadow and to pink the ears. I had soooo much fun making this! The black nose is made from faux leather so the piece is truly vegetarian, no dogs were harmed in the making. As a finishing touch I gave him a tartan bow-tie.
The board that it's mounted on measures 34cm from top to bottom.
