Made from 0.7mm thick copper sheet this butterfly necklace really catches the light.

Hand cut from copper with many hours of filing and polishing this necklace hangs from delicate copper chain at each wing. The necklace closes with a handmade copper clasp.

Once fully polished I used a technique to fire paint patina onto the copper with a hand held butane torch. This gives the piece the beautiful range of colours that really catch the light.

I have then added a few coats of Renaissance Museum Wax to seal in the colours so they will last much much longer than if left exposed to the air.

The pendant measures 50mm wide by 22mm high.
