This range of eco Christmas decorations was inspired by my lack of enthusiasm over an array of mass made plastic baubles I'd seen in a shop one afternoon. I stood in front of them thinking, in a few years, when these colours and designs go out of fashion, they will be lying in landfill and they'll probably still be there in 100 years time, not decomposing! This is why my decorations are made with paper, eco-friendly glue, eco matt varnish and strung with organic cotton. All of which will biodegrade quickly and not give the planet indigestion. For me, the motivation to create anything has always been tempered and inspired by the idea of personal responsibility.
This quote from Goethe sums up my attraction to this rather beautifully:

Eco-friendly, Paper, Christmas 'Dewdrop' decoration.
Handmade, original design.
Made with paper, eco-friendly, natural latex and Dammar glue.
'Dammar' is a plant resin derived from the Meranti tree, grown in sustainably managed forests in Sumatra.
Colours: Red & gold - please see other photos for more colour options.
Please note the metallic edge is only on one side of the decoration, but it does catch the light beautifully when hung.
Also looks stunning when hung on a twig tree arrangement.
Size: H: 5.2 cm W: 3cm, approx.
Each decoration is strung with a length of red, organically grown, cotton thread.
