IN SPALTED HORSE CHESTNUT THIS PIECE HAS LOADS OF VERY ATTRACTIVE FIGURE. TURNED AS A HOLLOW FORM THE WALL THICKNESS IS 1/4'', IT'S 11'' IN DIAMETER AND 5-1/2'' IN HEIGHT. THERE IS SOME BARK INTRUSION AND A VOID IN ONE AREA TO THE SIDE. THE LID-TOP IS SIX CIRCLES OF THIN ASH, GLUED TOGETHER AND EBONIZED BLACK TO MATCH THE SPALTING IN THE TIMBER. WITH NO FOOT IT SITS WHERE IT SITS. DANISH OIL TO FINISH.
