Full description
This is such a pretty necklace, featuring gorgeous vintage malachite beads, stunning malachite focal bead and little black onyx beads as well.
Malachite is an ore of copper and much of it is found in Africa. It has become expensive to purchase, especially quality Malachite with fantastic markings. I do hope you will see I have used only the best quality gemstone material to create this necklace.
The pendant stone has been cut into a geometric free form shape accented by shiny black onyx gemstone beads. The remainder of the necklace has been created from super vintage malachite gemstone beads, with their natural bands and swirls of light through to dark green. These gems have been separated by further black onyx beads. I have added a hand crafted double cord of black faux leather, finished with sterling silver findings. The cord ends have been created by wrapping sterling silver wire by hand, which allows for a strong and durable bond.
The cord is finished with a sterling silver lobster claw clasp and extender chain and bead to complete the look.
The necklace measures 46 cm or 18 inches in length approx. The sterling silver extender chain measures a further 2 inches approx.
The lobster claw clasp is stamped 925 for sterling silver.
