Full description

A daisy- strewn lawn – the essence of summer!

Delicate, lacy and reversible, this little piece of original textile art makes a perfect bookmark – an ideal gift for a nature lover or gardener, and very light for posting too.

It’s made by free machine embroidering over tiny fragments of fabric and threads trapped between layers of special fabric which is dissolved away after stitching to leave just the openwork embroidery.

The bookmark measures about 18cm x 4cm (7” x 1.5”). It is tacked (basted) onto a printed card and presented in a cellophane packet.

Please note: the bookmark you receive may not be identical to the one pictured – I repeat the same design and colours but the free nature of the technique means it’s impossible to make exact copies.

ALSO, bear in mind that you may be viewing the embroidery larger than life size - not always flattering!
