My passion for skateboarding has naturally crossed over into my love of woodworking. I could not bare to see the beautifully dyed wood of a skateboard deck end up on land fill.

Full description
A simple attractive piece made by a professional woodworker and longtime skateboarder. This colourful his/hers Brooch / Badge is made from recycled skateboard decks and is guaranteed to add a touch of awesomeness to any item of clothing or bag.
The Canadian rock maple plywood is pressure treated with deep rich dyes. This wood is only available to the skateboard market for the making of decks.
Different decks are painstakingly stripped of griptape and the graphics removed. Then they are cut, glued together and sanded to provide the different colour variations. All Brooches / Badges have a cross grain back for strength and stability they are finished with 3 coats of high quality Morrells Matt lacquer to protect and keep a clean natural finish.
