Brompton Badger is going to school with his satchel full of books.

This listing is for patterns for you to knit your own Brompton Badger and satchel, and instructions on how to make the books. The patterns include instructions and lots of photos to help you make your own badger friend.

Please note that this is not a listing for a finished item, it is for the knitting pattern only.

The pattern is written so it is easier for beginners to follow. You will need to be able to do the following stitches/techniques: Knit, purl, cast on & off, sewing seams, increases & decreases, intarsia colour knitting.

All pieces are knitted flat on straight needles. The books are made from felt fabric.

Finished Size: Badger 15 cm tall; Satchel 5cm wide x 7cm high; Books 3.5 cm wide x 4cm high

Materials:

Badger:

3.25mm needles
DK wool – 30g in dark grey or black; 30g in white; 30g in grey
Toy stuffing approx 100g
Black wool to embroider nose
2 beads for eyes 4mm diameter

Satchel:

30g DK wool brown; 3.25mm needles; 2 buttons approx 8mm diameter

Books:

White felt and coloured felt fabric, embroidery thread and needle

You will also need a tapestry needle to sew the pieces together. You can choose different yarns and needle sizes to those suggested above to make your own original badger.

The patterns will be emailed to you in pdf format within 3 days of cleared payment, although I do endeavour to send your pattern to you within 24 hours of payment. I only accept Paypal payments. Payment needs to be made within 3 days of purchase. Patterns will be emailed to the e-mail address you hold with paypal. If you have trouble receiving your pattern please let me know. No printer? No problem! If you require a printed copy, I can post your patterns to you. However, please email me before purchase so that I can confirm your postage and packaging costs.
