This piece is part of my Sky Above and Sea Below range which have all been inspired by my own sketches. The range is inspired by a trip I took when I was younger around Portland Bill. We set out on our small sailing yacht out into the sea until land was no longer visible on the horizon. I remember how the stars made me feel like I was in a snow dome and the phosphorescence glowed in the sea.

Full description
This boat necklace features a sailing boat out in the sea under a starry sky. Two Brazilian aquamarine beads are featured either side of the illustrated central pendent.
In making this nautical necklace every part has been handmade down to the chain clasp and setting for the illustrated high gloss shrink plastic part. The black and white main image has been hand drawn by me from my original sketchbook drawings. The illustrated necklace’s shrink plastic part has been sealed with high shine gloss and set using wire.
All of the wire is silver plated so can be polished when required.
Due to the materials used this item is light on the neck. Please note that pieces should not be submerged in water or worn in the shower to keep it looking shiny.
The main illustrated part is roughly 3 cm by 2 cm and the figure of eight links are just over 1 cm.
When you order this piece it will be carefully hand wrapped with tissue paper and sent like a little present for you or someone special.
