This took and age to make! Meters and meters of 0.30mm diameter fully annealed sterling silver wire has been crocheted with the addition of tourmaline gemstone beads for an unusual and unique necklace.
The design incorporates several rows of crochet - not an easy technique in sterling silver wire- onto which I threaded the multi coloured natural tourmaline gemstone beads.
The finished chainmaile section has been affixed to faux suede lengths using sterling silver rings and the necklace has been finished with sterling silver wire , lobster claw clasp and extender chain. The clasp is stamped 925 for sterling silver.
The necklace measures 18 inches excluding the sterling silver extender chain. With the extender, the necklace can be worn up to 20 inches in length.
