I am temporarily opening this shop for the christmas period to sell the last few items I have in stock and some items that are reduced in price due to slight imperfections that will be visible in the each items listing photos.

Full description
This multi-functional coatrack which can be made with various hardwoods has two main design features. A simple shelf that rests on two of the screw in pegs adds a unique twist to a basic coat rail, enabling the user to keep personal items (keys, phone) close to hand so they are not forgotten when going out. Or it can be an area to display possessions.
The other feature of this design is that it is made using offcuts obtained from a woodyard to demonstrate the uniqueness of the wood and how it can be used with minimal industrial involvement, meaning it doesn't have to be machined into perfect straight grained boards to be a functional, attractive piece of furniture. So the rough painted edges, uneven surfaces and wavy barked edges are retained to give the user an idea of the woods history and how it was processed from forest to trade. Each coatrack will in turn be unique because of this minimal involvement at the making stage.
The coat rack shown is made from oak wood and is approximately 1000mm long, 170mm deep and the main section of wood is 20mm thick. The shelf is approximately 225mm long by 85mm deep. The whole piece is finished in Danish oil to provide a long lasting matt sheen appearance. Three screws (not supplied) hold the unit on the wall via concealed holes
This is a one off piece made by hand so imperfections are evident and in keeping with the design ethos, please be aware of this before ordering.
