Back to birds again, I do love to draw birds and this wren in the hedgerow came from a series of doodley sketches. He's nestled in among the dog roses and honeysuckle that make our summer hedgerows so staggeringly beautiful. The style is influenced by Japanese woodcuts.
The lino cut is hand printed onto hand made hemp paper, and measures 32 x 18 cm. It is printed in two layers and hand finished with acrylic paint. It is signed.
