My work celebrates familiar British wildlife in all its shapes and forms. My practice involves drawing hundreds of sketches until I capture the right expression or pose for my subject. I then turn this into a screen in my studio darkroom. I create my prints using gestural brush marks or collages of maps and book pages to build up the layers of tones and textures, printing my messy ink drawings over the top.

This big beautiful bear is ready to warm your heart every time you look at him.
An original ink drawing , screen printed over vintage children's book pages.
All of my paper prints are from original drawings and use vintage book pages and maps that I have collected over the years.
I use the maps and papers as the block colours and shades for my drawings, I layer up the collaged paper first and when I’m happy I screen print the drawing over the top to create the finished image.
Measurements
Size of the print – approx slightly smaller than A2 20”x16” 200mg paper
NB- This print comes to you unframed- the framed photograph is just to illustrate how you might want to display it.
Care of this print – the print will come to you protected in a cello bag ready for framing. I will ship your print rolled in a postage tube as this provides the best protection- if you would like it to be shipped flat please contact me first as this will cost more to ship, Im happy to arrange it if that’s what you require.
Due to the nature of hand printing and using vintage paper please be aware that there will be variation in each print and the placement of the collages paper.
