Laura, the shrink plastic blue whale brooch measures 8 cm long and 4 cm high, and is based on my own original illustrations. She has been hand drawn and hand painted using acrylic paints and Derwent inktense pencils and is securely attached to a silver brooch back. Laura enjoys a party, she's in her cute little red party hat ready for the festivities! Laura is a lovely and quirky one off piece of wearable art for anyone who likes something a little unusual.

Each of my pieces is coated with 3 layers of matte varnish for durability but shrink plastic is not waterproof, so please avoid submerging in water.

I am inspired by stories, by fairy tales and fables and the books my little boy enjoys having read too him. Making up characters and giving them a story started out as a means to entertain my son until I discovered a love of using shrink plastic as a material because it allows me to turn my drawings and illustrations into wearable pieces of art. Each piece is original and hand painted by me, making each piece unique.

All items will be sent by Royal Mail 1st class within 1-3 business days of payment being received. If this is likely to be longer (due to bank holidays etc) i will contact the buyer via e-mail. If you've specified something made to order please allow 1-2 weeks (I aim to get it to you sooner) from placing the order. I am shipping from the UK so please allow some time for international orders.
