Full description
This is part of my '5 a day' fruit and veg collection, I was inspired, as a vegetarian who sees a lot of fruits and vegetables, by the patterns found in the cross sections and decided to use embroidery to bring the most interesting parts out, textile art is my big passion i love nothing more than spending hours hand embroidering details like this.
The Kiwi is two square canvas' 10" by 10" each, painted with acrylic paint then embroidered over with silk threads and plastic beads to bring out the detail, made entirely by hand.
If there's any fruit or veg I've missed in my collection that you would like let my know and I'll do my best to create it with my paints and threads :)
