II have developed a pattern for a Fresian Cow for you to knit, inspired by the simple style of Waldorf Steiner toys (the more simple a toy, the more a child uses his/her imagination, creating the great minds of the future...)
Fresian Cow is knitted all in one piece (apart from her ears, splodges and udder) and full making-up instructions are included.
Fresian Cow is simple enough for a beginner knitter, and will also appeal to a more experienced knitter, as it is a satisfyingly quick project for you to enjoy.
Knitted in double knit yarn and in garter stitch (k) throughout, your finished cow will measure approx. 16 cm when complete. I recommend stuffing Fresian Cow with pure wool fleece stuffing, but polyester toy stuffing may also be used.
