Full description
An original DA1 armchair with a metal frame and beech splayed legs.
The chair has been fully restored and is now a truly stunning piece of furniture.
The legs have been sanded and refinished.
The frame has been stripped and reupholstered using traditional techniques and materials, in keeping with the original design/sketches.
All layers of materials (hessian, hair, layered felt, calico and fabric) have been hand stitched to the metal frame.
Photos have been taken throughout the restoration process which we will have pleasure in providing upon request.
A beautiful Bute tweed wool in dark blue has been used as the top cover.
A sample of the fabric can also be provided upon request.
The original Utility Furniture label has been retained and placed back in it's original position.
