I was brought up surrounded by clay and art and learned everything I know about ceramics from my mum, a traditional apprenticeship literally learning at the master's knee since before I could walk! My birds are all impressions of British birds. I love to watch the real ones in the hedge outside my window, flitting from branch to branch and as I write a wren is loudly declaring his territory and letting us all know that Spring is sprung!

Full description
Similar to his Blue Tit cousin the Great Tit is one of my range of six ceramic sculptures of British garden birds. Each Great Tit is approximately the size of the bird you see in your garden, made from ceramic and hand glazed and painted with pretty yellow, green and cobalt blue, unlike his cousin he has a very dark capped head. He will brighten up any mantle piece or make an original centre piece for a table. An unusual gift for a wild life loving relative, RSPB member, or anyone who simply appreciates beautiful objects in their home.
