Dearest customers. After some time away, I am back making crochet clothing with sustainable fibres again. A place with a hook and a still mind. I hope you like what I produce!

Full description

This large crocheted shoulder bag has been produced using Harris Tweed aran from the Isle of Harris in the the Outer Hebrides, northern Scotland. I buy this pure wool directly from the famous Campbell family who produce the wonderful Harris tweed fabric from their mill, sold to international designers including Burberry and Chanel.

The cream oatmeal yarn (main body of the bag) is from the fleece of the rare breed seaweed eating sheep from Orkney islands Northern Scotland. These 'Rolie' sheep staple diet is seaweed and they live on the beach in a remote wild part of the world. They sleep by burying themselves in the sand and have been around since the Skara Brae days and the Picts. Their fleeces are unique and beautifully soft. The pure wool is undyed and unbleached and spun using traditional techniques.

Dimensions: 18" width by 19" height. Ready to ship.

Bulk orders, commissions and wholesale available. Please contact me for more information.
