These colourful puppet shows have been a popular entertainment on English beaches for centuries.
Small portable theatre booths with anarchic shows; not always politically correct but definitely politically aware, they’re a huge favourite with both children and adults.
This is my teeny tiny version – for instant nostalgia when not at the seaside!
There are two working card puppets, Mr. Punch and his long suffering wife, Judy, (picture 2) stored inside a fabric covered and lined matchbox.
(You get original ink drawings, not copies.)
The Punch and Judy are only 1inch tall, plus their card control rods.
Matchbox size when closed is 2inches x 1and3/8inches x 1/2inch (5 x 3.5 x 1.5cm).
It is quite delicate, but I see no reason why children cannot play with this, just carefully!
