Bertie the Bat was different
For when he went to bed,
He did not hang there upside down
But right way up instead.
He said it made his head ache,
To sleep as all bats should
And so he was the oddest bat
That lived there in the wood!
The others looked at ground and grass
But Bertie saw the sky
He found it very thrilling
Watching all the clouds go by.
He told the others stories
Of things that he could see
And all the woodland bats agreed
That none told tales like he!
So, if somehow you're different
From others that you know
Find something that you're good at
And the difference won't show!
Bertie is made from 100% wool felt and has a pin brooch on his back so you can pin him on your lapel or bag.
He measures 2 1/2" (6.5cms) by 2 3/4" (7cms)
