It has been a long road to bringing these products to market as I originally started making garden sculptures when I left my job a s toy designer for LEGO. I was pitching them to garden centres, designers, individuals etc but whilst the response was great the uptake meant that I just couldn't sustain a business on them.

Off the back of this though I learnt a great deal about concrete and wanted to use this along with my design skills. I looked at the market for garden products and thought it could do with a little spice so set about looking into designs that could give a little more excitement to an everyday garden product.

The starting range is the origami inspired Kronen flower bowl and pot and the coffee tables that match the set. I hope to further expand the range if these lines show promise so I hope you like them.

Stjerne takes it’s name from the Danish word for star and was originally moulded from a piece of origami card which I designed and created. Now resold in the warm grey, concrete material the 5 point, star shape gives a very different take on what usually constitutes a coffee table but also adds to it’s versatility by being outdoor suitable.

Hand Made by myself in my Hertfordshire studio this is a great chance to obtain a very distinctive and unique design that will make a real statement in your garden or home. With the warm grey concrete the table assumes a more rugged and stark feel, that plays with the arching curves. Used in the setting of you home or garden this table will really look great and with such an on trend material as concrete it will be sure to be a talking point.

Stjerne Coffee Table is laid up with a surface concrete mix and then backed with a structural, fibreglass, reinforced concrete coat, bringing the thickness to roughly 15mm. This means you get the benefit of concrete design but without the visual weight usually associated with it.

If you are installing it in your home then please be advised that the corners are sharp and will need some protection if standing on a bear wooden floor.

As Concrete is a porous material I would always recommend that you seal it as it will absorb stains quite easily. I offer the service myself which can be add in the drop down menu above.
