Chainmaille provides the perfect material and structure to show off an array of delightful beads and precious stones. By carefully linking rings to form a delicate cage any bead can be held indefinitely. The Captive Bead series does just that; using the captive bead weave a simple beaded necklace can become a piece of stunning and unique statement jewellery.
Each piece of chainmaille that I produce is unique, and if this style sparks your imagination and would like a custom piece created please let me know. I adore working with others to create stunning pieces of chainmail using a range of materials and techniques.

The Captive Bead Necklace is made from simple stainless steel rings arranged carefully to hold a mix of deep purple and bright peridot green Czech glass beads. This chainmaille necklace measures 18 inches overall, with an extension chain of 3 inches at the back. The centre drop of the Captive Bead Necklace is 1.25 inches.
