Presenting "Mermaid Splash" Corriedale Cinderella Tops spinning fibre, corriedale is beautiful, bright, springy and soft, an absolute pleasure to work with, has a good staple length and excellent crimp.
"Mermaid Splash" is a subtle blend of aqua, turquoise and lilac
approx 110g of pure fluffy yumminess one continuous length delivered as a braid or plait.
This collection is inspired and directed by my four youngest children who chose the colour combinations once I made all the dyes. Dramatic and exciting hues have been achieved by my own speciality method of natural dyeing which takes three to five days to achieve. Main ingredients used in this week's corriedale dye baths are combinations of : madder roots / leaves, buddleia leaves / flowers, cedar and redwood bark, mushrooms / fungi, lac, rhubarb roots / leaves, fresh herbs, dandelion roots / leaves / flowers with a few more unusual things added to create an explosion of colour.
Extremely challenging to photograph, all pictures are taken in natural daylight but it is still impossible to capture the true beauty of each length of fibre in a photo, there are lots of hues and variation throughout so these really must be seen and handled to be truly appreciated as the photos simply do not do the collection justice.
All computer monitors or laptop screens display colours differently, I have done my best to give a true representation of the colours so please keep in mind that your screen may be displaying the tones slightly differently to mine.

Only natural dyes produced directly from plants, flowers, herbs, spices and other items usually found on the grocery aisle of the supermarket are used in my designs, no harsh chemicals or irritants are in any of my products so they are kind to your delicate skin and our environment.
Everything is colourfast and has been washed of dye residue, however, it is advisable to wash your finished item once by itself just in case there is a small amount of dye excess left in the fibre.
