This artwork is based on photographs that I took one day on a walk through a beautiful wooded area close to where I live. It was one of those perfect cold but sunny days and I couldn't resist taking photographs of the shapes and forms which were thrown into stark relief by the low lying sun.
I didn't take the photographs with the intention of drawing from them but on flicking through them it just seemed the right thing to do.

Original and exclusive pen and ink artwork, hand drawn on painted canvas.
Based on photographs from a pleasant walk through a beautiful wooded area on a cold, but sunny, Sunday afternoon....bliss.
This original artwork is hand drawn on two 0.5" thick canvases measuring 7" x 5" each, using steel nibbed pen and Winsor and Newton lightfast ink in black.
Both canvases are signed and dated on the back then mounted in a subtle, fabric lined wooden box frame which has a delicate distressed effect and can be wall mounted or free standing.
