A 3-legged metal trivet made from recycled steel horse shoes.

I have cut and welded the used horse shoes into an Ohm Symbol (Om, Aum, Omkara) design - a universally spiritual symbol of Hindu origin, with huge meaning, (it is said to be the sound of the universe!) invocative of peace, love, and well being..

Trivets are traditionally used for outdoor cooking on a camp fire - to put your pot / saucepan / kettle on. They are very useful!
They can also be used ornamentaly in the garden, eg: as a plant pot stand, or used inside next to the fire, as a stand, or to hold fire tools.

Made from salvaged horse shoes, steel bar, and other scrap metal parts, welded together.
They are very strong, and sturdy, will hold large pots, and can even be used to sit or stand on!

A beautiful and unusual, yet practical and useful gift, for the person who likes to be in charge of the camp fire! For a horse-loving, nature-loving, peace-loving yogi, who enjoys outdoor cooking, and the spiritual side of life!

Finished in matt black heat resistant stove paint.

This trivet will be made to order, and will not be the exact one pictured here, each one will vary according to the horse shoes used.

Due to the size, and weight, I can only ship trivets to the UK I'm afraid.

All trivets are approx.1ft (30cm) high, and between 10 inches - 1ft (25 - 30cm) across, at the widest point, depending on the size of horse shoes.
The legs may splay out 12 - 14 inches.

I've been making the traditional shape trivets for a while, the idea to do an Om shape one, came after making some in the shape of a no.30., that reminded me of the Om sign.
These are unique to me, I haven't seen anyone else making an Om design!
This would be a very special gift for someone, with lots of meanings to it. Horseshoes are special in their own right, the Ohm makes it even more special.
