Full description
This is roughly based on a shape that my Nanny Alice made for my mother a heh hem few years ago now. The new twist that I've given this style is to add some lace each side of the button band and I have to say I love it. The lace has been part of a collection that my Mum and I have been maturing since the 80's, it was a must have buy that neither of us knew when we'd use it.
This cardigan is just so lovely as the collar detail means it can be worn as a light spring jacket and it looks amazing. The prototype for almost this style has been worn by my daughter with dresses, skirts and jeans and it just looks so good with everything.
The cardigan measures 78cms across the dress and 42cms from the shoulder to the hem and 32cms from under the arm to the cuff.
This can be machine washed up to 30 degrees but it's not suitable for the tumble dryer but it does dry nice and quickly as I use acrylic yarns for this purpose. As a mum of 3 all of whom can't wear pure wool I know that hand washing all the children's clothes isn't going to work.
