Full description
This tutorial shows how to make a wire wrapped beaded toe ring. It's a very simple design, suitable for beginners wishing to develop their skills in wrapping and ring making. It's also a very forgiving design, as the open, adjustable format allows for small errors in sizing. Use your favourite colour of bead to make it personal to you. This tutorial makes a size 3 (US) or F (UK) ring, however I'll show you the formula for sizing up or down as required.
NB: This ring is designed to slide on sideways, with the spirals sitting underneath the toe to hold it in place. The nature of the design is such that there will be an open gap at one side of the ring, however if you would prefer there to be less of a gap, just add 2cm to the sizing formula and adjust the spirals accordingly.
Materials required:
12cm of 18 ga Round Soft Wire
50cm of 26 ga Round Soft Wire
3 x 4mm Czech glass firepolished beads
Tools required:
Round nose pliers
Flat nose pliers
Wire cutters
Ring mandrel
Plastic/nylon hammer
Tumbler (optional)
