This gorgeous Jacket and Hat set is made from super soft Sirdar Snuggly 4ply yarn. The jacket, worked in one piece, to avoid uncomfortable seams, has a scalloped bottom edge, and traditional patterned yoke. It also features a garter stitch shaped collar, and crochet edgings around cuffs and collar. The matching traditional style hat also features the same crochet edging, and a length of white ribbon. A great gift for a new baby!!

I am soon to become an Auntie (again!), so I thought I'd try out some patterns for babies. I love making baby clothes, and thought I might challenge myself. This is the first time I have tried a jacket that is worked in one piece, the sleeves are knitted separately,on double pointed needles, so no seams, then joined in before the yoke. I really enjoyed making it, and will be trying out some other patterns too!
