Full description
This necklace has been inspired by stunning ancient jewellery designs from Egypt. Part of my Ancient Inspirations Collection, this necklace reflects the simplicity of design seen in many ancient cultures.
Most of the stones used would have been known and used in Egyptian jewellery in ancient times. Tigers Eye from South Africa, the Lapis from Afghanistan. The Sodalite was discovered relatively recently in Greenland, so may not have been known all those millennia ago.
I have created this lovely necklace with my trademark off set focal design. Tubes of Tigers eye, hand cut so are individual lengths and diameters have been teamed with natural lapis beads and sterling silver vermeil beads. The focal point of the design is a long, brushed, sterling silver vermeil bead, flanked by lapis and sodalite gemstone beads.
The necklace closes with a sterling silver vermeil lobster claw clasp, stamped 925 for sterling silver.
The necklace has been traditionally hand knotted for flexibility and durability. The necklace measures 58.5 cm in length or 23 inches approx. An extender could be added - please ask for details and prices.
