Representing the element of 'Fire ', presenting " Melting Radiance " from the BFL & Silk Natural Wonders Collection
approx 90g one continuous length of pure luxurious fluff delivered as a braid or plait.
Exquisite blend of 70% bluefaced leicester wool known for its natural lustre and crimp properties, 30% tussah silk giving strength and sheen, immersed in natural hues, the silk picks up the natural dye at a different rate than the wool and the effect of silky contrasting highlights forms a dramatic effect.
" Melting Radiance " has ranges of burning fire reds, oranges, deep golden flames on a rich burnt orange base with red and golden silky highlights, very unusual and completely unique. The main ingredients are eucalyptus leaves, dandelion roots and flower heads and a few more unusual ingredients added to give a dramatic explosion of colour.
This collection is inspired by our natural world and its elements of earth, air, fire and water. Rich and vibrant hues have been achieved by my own speciality method of natural dyeing which takes three to five days to achieve.
Extremely challenging to photograph, all pictures are taken in natural daylight outside but it is still impossible to capture the true beauty of each length of fibre in a photo, there are lots of hues and variation throughout so these really must be seen and handled to be truly appreciated as the photos simply do not do the collection justice.
All computer monitors or laptop screens display colours differently, I have done my best to give a true representation of the colours so please keep in mind that your screen may be displaying the tones slightly differently to mine.
