I like to celebrate the handmade nature of papercutting intricate shapes such as this mandala, where each individual spoke is unique and slightly different to the next.
I also think this original papercut design has a distinctly vintage, mid-century feel to it and was possibly inspired by my Aunt's wonderfully spiky, star-shaped clock that I used to covet growing up!
