Full description
Inspired by the salty cool colours of the sea, this richly coloured Ocean Wave stained glass light catcher glows beautifully in the sun.
I have used best quality glass of different textures and effects to evoke the ripples and waves of water and combined turquoise, aquamarine, azure and sea green art glass to striking effect. This unique suncatcher takes on a life of its own when light shines through.
Ocean Wave is created using the traditional Tiffany technique, the solder is finished off with a black patina, and finally, it is all polished up with carnauba wax to give everlasting shine. This is real stained glass, not painted on.
Approx 18 x 13.5 cm (7 x 5 in) in diameter, it comes ready to hang with two soldered rings and a pretty turquoise ribbon. It will look fabulous hanging where it can catch the light and will make an interesting gift.
