Non-Sharpen Straight Razor

With one blade, a cut throat or straight edge razor really is the best any real man can get. The Raw Leather straight razor is a 'Turkish style' no sharpen design that uses widely available disposable single or double edge blades. This makes them economical, hygienic and there is no need for continuous stropping! Plus they are best option for sensitive skin and great for accurately defining beards or side burns.

The Raw Leather razor features a Turkish style blade with a hand-carved handle then presented in a hand-stitched saddle leather case. The handle is carved from a single piece of antique English oak and finished with a liberal coating of rapeseed oil and lavender bees wax.

Your new razor will come complete with 5 single blades but can also be used with the standard double blades.

The History: I spent 2 years living in Turkey after University and looked forward to my weekly Turkish shave. Keen to learn the lost art of using a traditional straight razor I asked my usual barber, Ali, to teach me how to use one. I was surprised by how easy it was and how much better the shave was for my skin than modern over engineered disposable razors. I have been using a straight razor ever since. Ali used a disposable blade straight razor of a design similar to the one I now make. I still think that it it the best straight razor design I have ever used.
