Autumn is my favourite season, with the rich colours of falling oak leaves in my garden providing masses of inspiration for creating colourful abstract pieces. I wanted to recreate the type of late October blustery day that sees everything swept up in a swirling mass of colour and movement.

Full description
Autumn Swirl Maple Leaf is an abstract textile artwork, interpreting the rich colours of a typical blustery Autumn day. It is made using applique techniques, and embellished with machine, free machine embroidery and hand embroidery (French Knots).
Colours include gold, burgundy and turquoise metallic fabrics, oversewn with blue, green, orange, pink and red embroidery threads. Looks great as a focal point in a study, library or sitting room.
The picture is framed under glass, and presented with a double cream acid free conservation mount. It is framed by an oak effect frame. Total frame size measures 250mm by 300mm.
This artwork makes a fantastic addition to any home, a superb gift or a rather indulgent treat for yourself!
