This piece developed from the current resurgence in tartan. While paying homage to the complex grid patterns to be found in the traditional forms, I wanted to create something, simpler and more amenable to the fleece I use to make the felt. The navy keeps it classic while the cerise adds colour to our cold weather wardrobe.

Full description
Created using pure merino, this scarf is laid out by eye and crafted by hand. This means that is is completely unique. Classic grid pattern with a deep cerise background and dark navy gridwork. Laid out in three stages, navy grid underside, cerise forming the substantive part of the scarf and then the final navy grid on the upper side. Hand rolled in the traditional way for wet felt and hand thrown to complete the process. A labour of love.
A large piece, sturdy enough to be worn daily, luxurious enough to be worn as a dress piece. Quite deep so perfect for wrapping round to keep out the weather or fold over the front section, when worn, for a less enveloping feel.
