Goldwork (Opus Anglicanum) dates back over 2000 years, its roots are in religious and royal embroidery, It has a luxurious and opulent quality and was used frequently in the clothing and furnishings of royalty and nobility throughout Europe.

Full description

Three beetle specimens rendered in Gold Work and applique using metal threads, leather, silk thread and glass beads. Inspired by the Scarab, Longhorn and Great Diving Beetle. They are worked on medium weight calico and mounted in a black 6 x 8 frame which can be wall mounted or free standing..
