READY TO POST

A lovely bright tweed from the mill in Harris & Lewis. You won't lose your glasses in the bottom of the bag with these bright colours!

A fabulous purple, pink and teal check with a purple cotton lining and lightly padded. Each case is handmade by me and so there may be minor differences from what you see in the photos. Finished with an authentic sewn-in 'Harris Tweed' label sewn into the seam.

Size: approximately 18cm x 8cm (that's about 7" x 3") - just let me know if you would like a different size.

I visit the Outer Hebrides often to meet the weavers and collect my tweeds. The last photograph shows you how beautiful these islands are - often mistaken for Caribbean islands on a good day! Take a look at my other listings for more photographs of this special place.

WHY IS HARRIS TWEED SO SPECIAL?

'Harris Tweed' is the only fabric in the world governed by its own Act of Parliament.

From start to finish the cloth is in the hands of skilled and experienced artisans who oversee every stage of production utilising generations of knowledge to produce a product worthy of the name 'Harris Tweed'. Such is the value placed on this name, each piece of tweed is assigned a unique number which can be traced back to the individual home weaver.
