Inspired by a field of wild flowers by the road on a walk in France.
I used my favourite Liberty of London Tana Lawn print, cutting the flowers out and embroidering them onto natural linen with clusters of French knots.

Inspired by a field of wild flowers in France this picture is made of hand stitched appliqué flowers (from a Liberty print) on a hand painted background.
It is framed in a simple white wooden frame which is open, with no glass, to show the detail. Frame size is 33cm square. Image size is 19.5cm square.
