I am obsessed with finding things that inspire art on the beach. Sometimes you find glass and pottery that just look like things. It started when I found a piece of sea porcelain that looked like a pair of pants. And then i saw shapes in everything. Every collage is entirely unique. And the pottery and glass could be really very old and could have been washed up from anywhere in the world. Love that.

Full description

A cute little little picture made using my seaglass, sea pottery and driftwood finds on the beautiful beaches of North East Scotland. The two shades of green glass were found on the Menie Sands, the white and blue pottery was found on Sandend beach near Banff and the driftwood was found on the Forvie Sands. The glass and pottery could be aged anywhere between 30 and 100 years old. The washing line is the only non-found item (paper string). A collection of nature's own recycling!

Framed in a glass and white lacquer box frame (dimensions are 10"x10").

Designed by Gillian Martin in Aberdeen
