Harris Tweed is what is says on the tin (or label) and is defined by law as having been "handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides". All products made with Harris Tweed are labelled with the Orb, Britain's oldest surviving certification mark. When you see this symbol you can be sure you are buying the genuine article.
Harris Tweed is more than a fabric, it is a way of life, a means for islanders to support themselves in a fragile economy and a connection to generations past, present and future.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
Here's a lovely Harris Tweed cushion in grey blue and navy and teal check. It's an envelope style with three buttons along the front, also covered in Harris Tweed to complete the look. The closer you look at this wonderful fabric the more colours you can see, it's got to be seen in real life to be truly appreciated; I hope my photos can do it some justice!
The colours are reminiscent of the Atlantic Ocean and a Harris sky on a brooding, misty day - stunning scenery in all weathers.
There are three cushions available in this style, and due to the nature of the fabric I can't guarantee to get the exact same colours again, so consider it a one-off and take your chance to own a bit of this wonderful landscape, and take part in the rich culture and heritage for which it's famed!
