This necklace is inspired by the blue tit which is a common garden visitor and does wonderful feats of acrobatics, while at the feeders we hang out for them.
He is one of the smaller of our feathered friends and likes to nest in tree holes laying many eggs.

Full description
This Necklace is made by collaging old tins that I collect. Which means that each one is individual. I have a large collection of tins and sift through them all to find the right colours. I try and pick colours as close as possible to the bird. In this case a Blue Tit, which is blue green with a yellow breast. Each piece is cut out with my piercing saw and filed so it fits properly.
The centre is walnut wood, with a silver backing, which the tins are riveted to.
The chain and clasp are also silver. And I have handmade the s shaped clasp.
The necklace comes in a recycled grey jewellery box with my name on it. And a tag with information on the bird.
