This chair is made using traditional green woodwork techniques. The legs are hand-turned on a pole-lathe, the seat is hand-adzed and finished using an inshave. The spindles and comb were made with a drawknife. The comb is yew - everything else is ash.
The chair is finished in walnut oil.
65cm. high, 40cm. wide, 30cm deep. In one of the photos you can see how it compares to an adult-size chair
Although suitable in size for a 5-year-old this is not a robust chair! It might be better used by a large teddy-bear rather than a boisterous toddler but it could be a lovely present nonetheless.
Postage cost is not include - please contact me about shipping as this is a delicate item.
I acquired a lovely ash plank but it was too small for a full-sized chair so I decided to make a smaller one. You will see from the photos that the patterns on the seat are quite stunning.
